On November 4th, Alex and Eric meet with Professor Farhad Kaffashi to go over the progress we have made on the Step Counting Algorithm up to that point. Alex and Eric showed Farhad, the Fourier Transforms that they had for five, ten, fifteen and twenty second windows. Alex and Eric determined that the information that they needed lies in the 0 - 2 Hz frequency range, and were planning on filtering the data to only represent this data. From there, Farhad suggested and explained how we could use the stationary wavelet transform in order to isolate the 0-2 Hz information from the data. From there Alex and Eric, went to work on using the filtered data to develop the step counting algorithm.
